I recently just got my braces and have had them on for two months now. I've been lurking for a while and seeing other people's stories have made me so much more optimistic about my treatment!
I had quite a bit of overcrowding, so I had four premolars taken out to create space. Although it has only been two months, I've been seeing major changes!
I have no idea what's in store for me, but the progress has been worth the not-so-bad pain. I can't wait to see the end result!
Hi, I am one the same timeline... but I refused to let them pull four teeth. So I might not be on the right track, but it just seemed too barbaric to me. Ortho agreed to try in my way. I wonder if I made the right decision (for me) but think I did.
Hello, friendlyturtle! I'm new as well. I had two extractions on my lower arch due to mild crowding, so now the waiting game begins for those pesky gaps to close. When did you first start seeing changes in your teeth? I've only had mine on for five days, I'm a bit impatient haha.
Puckloo, I'm sure you'll be able to extract teeth down the track if you decide to go for that option, worst comes to worse it'll just take a bit longer. Keep us in the loop as to how you're progressing, I'm sure a lot of people who are uncertain about extractions will be very interested to hear how you get on!
Reading this thread with great interest! Almost 2 months in braces, & will b going in for extractions as soon as my baby is born ) not sure how many teeth ll get extracted yet but im not oh so excited to experience it :-/

thanks Braceasaurus... that's what the ortho said - he was willing to try it my way for 10 months (half way point). If things are not working he would say so, and then I would have to decide what to do. He can't put them back, you know? If pulling four healthy teeth is the only option - I guess I will do it rather than waste almost $7,000.
