I'm getting braces next month!

I'm new to this site and so I want to introduce myself. My name is Dylan, and I'm getting braces next month.

In my opinion, my teeth aren't that bad. But there are little quirks in my smile I want to fix. I have four gaps on my top teeth, and four slightly crooked bottom teeth. I want to close the gaps and as time goes on I think that my teeth have gotten more crooked on the bottom, which is why I want to get braces.

The good thing about my smile is my bite seems to be normal (and dentists say I have a good bite). But I feel like I have a slight overbite. All of my top and bottom teeth touch each other except my top incisors. I don't know if all of your teeth are supposed to touch, but I notice that my incisors don't.

The main reason I'm getting braces is because I want to be confident when I show my teeth while smiling. Also, I know a lot of people that have or have had braces before, and I want to share my experience with them. I want to stand out when I smile, so I won't be insecure about my braces and I might get a flashy color.

I found out last week that there are a LOT of great colors to choose from. And if you look around here, I know there is a place on this board somewhere that you can find a cartoon set of teeth and it allows you to play with putting different colors on them. I'll warn you that its addictive but it did actually help me select my colors.
I am trying to figure out how to invent small lights to put on my braces for next Christmas......LOL!!! LOL!!
