Just had my 2nd consult. Will be having spacers inserted in 2 weeks. From what I've read on here, spacers aren't much fun

Hmm what cases need spacers? How long do they need to be worn?

I've got some crowding & overjet. Metal bands need to be wrapped around my back teeth. The spacers need to be in for about a week to create space for the metal bands...i think.

I had spacers in for about 5 days to make space for a metal band on one of my molars. I know it is different for everyone but I hardly noticed them.
