Dental inplant

Hi,

I went to the dentist to discuss having invisalign for overjet. They recommended that I need to have a molar implanted prior to brace treatment. I wasn't planning on having it implanted. Would it be necessary? It's bottom right at the back

Is it because he needs more support for the Invisalign trays in your mouth? I haven't heard of any cases with implants, usually they do extractions :D

I have always been told that braces should come before implants...but I don't know much about Invisalign. My orthodontist said Invisalign wouldn't work for my teeth, I am also missing a molar, plus a couple other teeth. Maybe that is one reason he said it wouldn't work for me.
