How To Place an Avatar in Your Profile

To add an avatar to your profile:
1. Upload an image of your choice to a hosting site such as photobucket.com or imageshack.us. Please remember that kids as young as 13 sometimes visit this site, so keep the image clean and "rated PG". If you have made a custom animation with software you own, you can upload the animated file, too.
2. Resize the image to thumbnail size, which is around 80 x 80, or roughly the size of a postage stamp. Both photobucket and imageshack give you the ability to make your image smaller. It should be no bigger than about 6K. Please note that Tickers do not belong in the avatar space! Tickers are only for the signature area. And you will be able to get a signature when you post a minimum amount of posts on the board (this is to keep out spammers).
3. Go to your Profile page and place the image's URL into the "Link to off-site Avatar:" box at the bottom of the page, and click Submit. Remember, you want to put the URL here (beginning with http://). Do not put IMG tags in the box, only the actual URL.
