I hope you all dont get bored with me posting my updates. I thought it might help others that are just starting.
So... I went to the ortho on saturday. (im still on tray 9) He shaved only one tooth. Even that one tooth being shaved made a huge difference. My teeth moved that night a lot. I had missed my other doctors appointment (few weeks before)and was in pain because I didnt have that tooth shaved when I was supposed to, so there was no room to let my teeth move.
Since my shaving on saturday, I can already see a big difference in my lower teeth, just in a few days. They are almost straight on the bottom now. Besides my tooth that is getting pushed towards the back (which will get pulled).
Another change... instead of seeing the doctor every six weeks, he wants to now see me every two weeks, because my teeth are really starting to move and progress and he wants to keep a close eye on them. I still am changing trays every 3 weeks, but my doctor said he wants to keep an eye on my gums closely. I am also going in for a cleaning in two weeks. This is not free - this is costing me an additional $70.00.
He said there is nothing wrong with my gums, (I kinda freaked out on himt when he said every 2 weeks and he wanted to keep an eye on my gums), but he said it is nothing to worry about, he is just suprised at how well and fast my teeth are moving. Especially my upper teeth. They are perfect at this point and the doctor is very happy.
Anyway - I will keep you posted. My next appointment is Feb 4.
