Nightmare W/Invisalign

#1 Post by nvrsaynvr »

(this is a disgusting thread - so dont read if you have a weak stomach)

Well, I hade a nightmare of a night with my trays. I had the stomach flu. I started to vomit and the vomit didnt come out correctly with the trays in my mouth. (I couldnt get the trays out because I was vomiting too hard) I started gagging and man-oh-man, what a nightmare!!!!
I was trying to get my trays out and it was making me gag even worse, which was making me vomit violently. I started chocking, couldnt breath and almost passed out.
NOTE TO SELF... in the future, ** if I think I am going to vomit, take trays out right away - dont hesitate** Vomit gets stuck in trays and gives the worst gag reflex!!!! I was shaking so hard, that I couldnt get my trays out and almost choked to death. YES - that serious.
On another note ~~~~~~~
I still love invisalign - my teeth are showing a major difference on this tray (#7).
BTW - due to my illness, I had to keep my tray out for 24 hours and I can really feel the difference on how much my teeth moved (not good). My teeth are very sore and my tray is NOT fitting very well. I hope I didnt mess my progress up!

:yikes: I do feel sorry for you Nvrsaynvr! I did have to laugh because it sounds like something I would do. I did that with my retainer after my gum surgery. The pain killers made me violently ill. I'm just glad that there are others out there like me too!
