OK...I am on my 2nd refinement set (that means I have 3 sets in total), and from the clincheck it doesn't look like this is going to be the final one)...

What are the maximum refinement stages? are there unlimited untill we are happy with the treatment?

I am slightly worried now....

The number of refinements is going to depend on your contract with the office you work with. The doctor and their office is the one who is in contract with Invisalign. There are products that can be purchased by the doctor to offer refinements for 5 years, 2 years, or as a certain finite number. Best thing to do is speak with your office to figure this out. Hope that is helpful!

Wow! 5 years?
I am currently in my refinement stage (22 aligners) after 60 aligners (initial).
I am hoping that after the 22 I will be done, but I guess there could be more?
My teeth are straight now and it's minor things.\

My ortho also said that at the end, there will likely be some "shaping" or something to get the "perfect" look.
One thing I noticed is that my upper teeth are very, very slightly forward a bit, king of like an overbite.
It's not noticeable but wondering if this will be corrected by the end or this is as good as it gets with invisalign.
Again, it's probably only noticeable to me, but wondering.
I will see my ortho next Wednesday, so I will ask her to confirm.

I am shocked at how invisalign has changed my life!
I still have the first aligner that I wore and I can't believe I actually walked around with those teeth.
My confidence has increased and I can't wait until I am done and will have my teeth professionally whitened!

Thanks Dr Tam & Liner.

@Liner, keep me posted of your progress.

Mine has overbite issue too, and I was told it can't be fixed perfectly because of the size of my teeth, orelse I won't be able to close my mouth....

How long have you had the treatment? Mine just over a year and I am getting very impatient :-(

I had a crossbite and very diligent in wearing my elastics as per my ortho's instructions and she is very happy with the result.
She told me that she didn't expect that it would correct so well so wear your elastics as per your ortho's instructions.

I started in late March 2017 and should be done in September.
The time actually flew by and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be; however, I will be very happy to get out of treatment and get my teeth whitened.
