How Long Did Your Aligners Take to Come In?

I can't tell if I'm being impatient or this is taking forever. I had my iTero scan 3/15/16 and my aligners "should be" in by the end of next week, but I'm not holding my breath. I feel like so many reviews onine saying the scan made things move quicker and lots of people got theirs faster than quoted. My treatment time is already going to be 2 years, and I hear about people often needing revisions, I'm just ready to get this thing started.

The time it takes is mostly dependent on how long it takes for your doctor to design your treatment. It is a back and forth between your doctor and the technician at Align, with your doctor telling the tech how they want your teeth to move. There are still many doctors that really on the non-doctor technician at Align to come up with a plan that they just accept. This leads to treatment that does not work out well most of the time.

We generally tell patients somewhere between 5-6 weeks from the scan until delivery of the aligners. For more complex treatment plans, this is necessary. For more simple ones, it is not, and we call our patients in earlier if they arrive earlier. Good luck with your treatment!
