Getting Invisalign in Canada or UK?

#1 Post by angeland »

Hi,

I am currently residing in London, UK, but will move to BC, Canada for good in a year's time.

After consulting a local clinic, they quoted me an Invisalign Lite version for £2200 which will take about 6 months to correct my concerns:

Midline off centre problem
Overbite problem
Asymmetry problem

I originally went to the clinic to consult about 6 Months Smile but they told me it can't fix midline problem (is that true?) and since I will only stay in UK for less than a year, so they quote me the Invisalign Lite Version. Have anyone tried the Lite version? does it really see the results as animated?

If the treatment time is more than 6-8 months, can I bring along the trays with me when I moved to Canada or is it better to wait until I have moved? Since Invisalign is originated in USA, I wonder if it will be cheaper in Canada? £2200 is about CAD 4130, but I still have to add 12% taxes if I get it in BC. Canada.

Please advise, thank you very much! x

I think it's better for you to wait till you move to Canada and get invisalign from there. One of my friends had got it from a dental clinic in Oakville and he said it was affordable for him. But I don't know the exact cost of it. If you want to know the cost and details, here is the link http://www.phelandental.com/contact-us/ . I think you could compare and make your decision. I have no idea about Invisalign Lite Version.
Also, if you are getting invisalign from UK make sure your treatment will be completed before coming to Canada or else it will be difficult for you.

Sounds like the issues you've presented will not be corrected in a short amount of time and are more complex than 6-8 months of treatment. This means you would require full Invisalign. Invisalign Lite or Invisalign Express do not move teeth faster. They simply limit the number of trays you can receive and correct problems that would only take a small number of trays to correct.

Consider the cost of Invisalign as being related to not only the lab cost, but also the experience of the provider as results will be different depending on who you work with.

It is generally better to complete treatment with one provider. Best of luck!
