First Tray of Invisalign!

It's weird, getting used to it. No one noticed (yet) and I'm gonna wait and see if anyone does. I feel like my mouth is dry a lot!

The only issue I have is the eating. I was told 22 hrs was the amount of time I should go for, like the good student I am, I have been doing this by timing it down to the minute. I'm a bit concerned because I feel like I don't get enough to eat. I'm not bragging when I say this, but I honestly cannot afford to lose weight as it is as I am a small woman already. But at healthy weight... I do a lot of exercise, and I feel like with this Invisalign, I am barely eating enough calories. How do people cope with this? I miss my snacks :( I just feel I am gobbling my food down.

I am excited by the video I was shown, although it looks like it will be July before you can really tell anything changed.

For anyone reading this: WEAR YOUR RETAINER!! This is round 2 of othro work for me, and I paying all out of pocket (and a bit of student loan $$). It was vital to my health....anyway, WEAR YOUR RETAINER!!

Congrats on getting going with treatment!

Many of our patients comment that they snack less but have larger meals. It is ok to dip below the 22 hours every so often, but you do not want to go much below 20 in order to make sure your treatment stays on track.

I have pretty much lost the snacking habit all together...it's just not worth it! And, I also feel like I just gobble down whatever I feel able to eat but, I've not keeled over yet and, tbh, it's quite interesting that food has lost some of its allure to me! (I've got plenty of fat to keep me going! )

Don't worry too much...food is fuel, just eat enough to keep going. :)

I feel the same way. I find myself just eating bigger meals to keep me going (and not having hunger pains) instead of mindlessly grabbing whatever.
