Invisalign-third day

#1 Post by stephanopolous »

I am on day 3 of a two year + treatment plan. I think my case is more severe than most of the pictures I've seen on here but I'm hopeful for a big improvement. I know that this wont make my teeth perfect but I feel an improvement will make me feel a lot more confident and will give me the confidence to smile. I'm excited! Day one sucked- pain taking trays in and out but mostly the frustration of adjusting to the daily changes. Snacking less and drinking water more are positive things, and I've wanted this for so long so I'll have to get used to it!! Excited to post before pics.

Thanks! August will be here before you know it. I know it will take time to adjust, I'll be happy once they've become "normal" for me. Good luck with your treatment!

Hi everyone, This is my first post too. I am on day five of IA insertion. It is so helpful to read all your posts and to know that I am not alone in thinking "what have I done". Mine is the bottom arch and I would be most grateful to hear from someone in a similar position, dentist estimates 3 months but obviously I can't be sure. Lots of pain at the moment but understand this is normal. I am taking painkillers at night only at the moment. Also dentist has not even mentioned retainers and this has come as a bit of a shock. Will they be for ever. Only night time or all the time? Dentist is now on vacation for 4 weeks so any answers would be most helpful. Thank you friends.

My case is serious too!!! I have extreme crowding on the upper arch. My sentence is also around 2+ years.

I originally wasn't a candidate for Invisalign and was set on getting traditional metal braces but my orthodontist called me back after a conference he went to and said he saw a similar case like mine get treated with Invisalign and the results were amazing so he wanted to test it on me!

I'm on my second tray...I started on Dec 19 with the first tray but a few days after I had to get my wisdom teeth removed so I wasn't wearing them until the day before my second appointment to get my attachments on.

Everything is going pretty smoothly for me except for the removal of my aligners also...My teeth hurt so bad the first night when I tried to remove them to eat dinner because of the attachments. ;( It's the second night and they're much less painful now when removing them to eat.

Good luck! Would love to see your before pictures!
