relapsing teeth before getting the aligners

#1 Post by sasnew123 »

Hello,
I have this metal braces treatment finished 7 years back and then used a retainer for a year. So the entire treatment was over around 6 years back.
But over the time, slowly the teeth relapsed (I have ~8mm overjet and gaps between my upper front teeth). I am 28 years old now.
So now I ordered Clear Aligners for the treatment.
Here is my worry - My current bite impressions and moulds (of teeth) are taken and this is sent to the aligner company. When enquired, it will take another 40 days to get the aligner. So is there a chance that my teeth are still relapsing and it will move so much with in this 40 days, so that the aligners wont fit my teeth...?
I even worry, thinking about this protruded teeth all the time may cause some stress on the teeth muscles, which may in turn help to move them further away...?
or are these some childish thoughts just out of over worry...?
Appreciate any help to understand this...
