Help! My third set of trays fits weird!

#1 Post by Stephskare »

Okay so I just put in my third set of trays about 5 min ago and this is my first set of take home trays. Which means I don't have a ortho to ask about questions, fit, etc. so everything seems to fit fine except my second tooth in on the top right. The tray doesn't go all the way to the gum line like all the other teeth and inside of the tray on the bottom of that tooth there's a lot of extra space. Now I'm not sure if it's because that tooth needs to come down and that's why there's extra space at the bottom? Have any of you had this problem? Everything else feels right. Should I go to see my ortho? Please help

These are some of possibilities:

1. You haven't worn your previous trays long enough and the treatment has gone off track.
2. The aligner is defective.
3. It is a new aligner and therefore does not fit perfectly but will fit fine in a few days.
4. You have not seated the aligner al the way and may need the help of an aligner chewie.
5. It is not actually your aligner but packaged incorrectly.

Good luck!
