Attachments still on

I'm waiting for my first set (and I hope the only one) of refinements, however I thought my attachments would be removed before my impressions and I'd be waiting for the refinements without it while I still have all attachments on

Is this a normal procedure?

Attactments are usually removed for impressions for refinement because different movements may be required for different teeth during the refinement phase. I don't think it's "a normal procedure" but every case is different.

I had my first (and I hope the last one) set of refinements last week. Now basically my teeth look like I have fixed braces since on every single front tooth I've an attachment!!

I've 5 upper trays and 7 lower trays...so another 4 months at least $+\+$
