Speech difference in invisalign

Speech difference in invisalign

Has anyone notice a speech difference since starting their invisalign.
Prior to my invisalign I had (and was told) a very siglht lisp, now that has all but dissapeared. Has anyone else ntice a difference with their speech??

I noticed the first day I started, but it only lasted for a week or so. It was especially noticeable when I tried to speak loudly.

You are very likely compensating for your speech production, and being more precise in you tongue movements. This is what a speech pathologist would get you to do to correct your lisp, so the aligners have likely created enough of an "irritation" that has made you alter your movements. An added bonus for you! :)

I had a slight lisp and it was bad since I work as a radio DJ. I was stubborn enough to not take my aligners out and now I speak normal. I adjusted my speech and have almost perfect diction again

my speech hasnt been affected at all
started treatment 6 May 2008.
All up 34 Upper & 20 Lower.
Loving the invisalign, a great choice for correcting my teeth.

i get a slight lisp from time to time if i talk fast or loud.
