Hi,
I'm new, and this is my "In the first 12 hours" post...
I just got back from my ortho evaluation, and I'm going to do the invisalign. I have lots of spaces, some undersized teeth, a cross bite, and while I had braces as a child, my teeth have shifted over the years, and worn down where they meet improperly. The ortho says we can fix all this with invisalign, and then when that's all done I can get veneers to get those sparkly white teeth I've always wanted.
In the meantime, I will be starting my invisalign in a few weeks. But, I have a couple medications (thyroid meds) that I take throughout the day that I usually chew. They can be taken sublingually as well, but can I do that with the trays in?
Many thanks for any insight and help!
Alison
Taking meds with invisalign?

Re: Taking meds with invisalign?
I was advised to take the trays out, take my medication (asthma inhaler) and rinse well afterwards.

I think if you can swallow the pill whole it's okay. I can't imagine there'd be a problem with a sublingual dissolving pill either unless there's a LOT of dyes in it.
I know asthma inhalers you always have to rinse after use whether you have invsialign or not.
