Power chains

I am getting power chains, do they hurt?

I expected a whole heap of pain with mine because I'd read that people said they hurt a lot, but honestly I've had them the last 2 adjustments and they haven't hurt any more than the usual wire change I was getting before that. Try not to worry If they do hurt it's only for a couple of days while they settle in.

Do the power chains significantly speed up the closing of gaps? I assume they're only for brackets right, is there anything Invisalign uses to close gaps or are they not particularly suitable for that situation.
