I hope someone can give me some advice. I have today been advised that I am a suitable candidate for Invisalign treatment. My dentist has told me that he would have to remove the tooth behing the canine to make room. Below is a photo of what I mean!
Is it a good idea to take my dentists advice and go ahead with Invisalign? Has anyone heard of any sucessful cases where this problem has been solved with Invisalign?
Any information or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
im not sure how well the hole will heal where the tooth would be removed but looking at your photo i would say you were a medium case and invisalign would work for u, my bottom teeth looked same as yours now they are all nice and straight and not crowded anymore
Using straight Invisalign with no rubber bands, etc I'd say its unlikely that Invisalign would be able to bring down your canine to the proper place. Invisalign was able to move my canines a little and my second ortho said that the movement I'd had was more than she'd seen Invisalign do before... BUT Invisalign can use rubber band and such to help accomplish the job now so maybe it could happen. The rest of your teeth are definetly fine for Invisalign. I'd say get a second opinion and see what they say. Good luck!
