Is there anyone out there that had braces installed after 50? I know this is an adult braces website, but could use some encouragement. I'm 52 and just decided my poor self-image needed a lift. Straightening my teeth may not be the cure-all, but it could help. Luckily my girlfriend feels the same way and has encouraged me to go for it!
I have two appointments for the end of this month to have the braces installed, but am cycling between looking forward to it and dreading it. I'm not sure how me-in-braces will be accepted by friends and co-workers.
Any experience out there from your first month in braces?
