Hi there,
I've started my own blog which will document the whole process of me finally making the decision to go ahead with getting orthognathic surgery at age 34. I had no idea braces were involved at the beginning. I will be getting my deficient upper jaw made larger and extended. The underdevelopment of the upper jaw has left me with an underbite and an open bite. My teeth are straight for the most part but I've been told to expect ortho treatment to last between 2 to 3 years. My orthodontist as recommended gold plated braces for me. By the way, I live in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
