Hi !
I recently started Intraoral Press (http://www.intraoralpress.com) to publish braces-fiction (and maybe eventually some non-fiction). Only one book so far, but the next one should be finished in a month or two. The next one will probably be of greater interest to everyone here at Archwired, because it features an adult (24yrs old) with braces, but maybe some of you will also be interested in the first book.
It's called Retainer Girl, and while the focus is on Lauren making the transition from braces to retainers she also recounts a lot from her entire experience of having braces. The target audience is probably more older teens and adults who had braces in their teens, but maybe the braces experience is so universal that some of you will enjoy it as well. There's a very small element of fantasy and exaggeration to the book, for entertainment puposes, so the orthodontic treatment she has isn't exactly like what most patients now get, but the fundamentals (and the feelings) are all the same, I think. And since you have all these true-life stories at Archwired, maybe you'll find a fictional one a fun change!
There's more information at the website (http://www.intraoralpress.com/books/Retainer_Girl.htm), along with an excerpt, and there are more excerpts at the Lulu page for the book (http://www.lulu.com/content/237520). And you can get the book at any online bookseller.
I'm also keeping a weblog about publishing these books at http://iopress.blogspot.com/
Have fun reading!

Retainer Girl - the book

I want everyone to know that I've been in touch with Catherine. Her stories and venture are legit. I think it's cool that she's writing these stories to help people, not from a "fetish" point of view.
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
