I am new to the site and so happy to find so many people going through what I am starting next week. I am a 51 yr old woman ( a young 51!) with a deep overbite. I wore a retainer at 30 (my dentist recommended having my jaw broken and reset back then)had my teeth straigtened up but the I hate the overbite and ready to do what I have to to get it fixed. My question is...what is the approximate cost of the surgery (not with the orthodontic work)? Don't think my health insurance is going to pick up any of it - United Health states "accidental only". Would like to hear your experieces concerning health insurance and cost. I have my first consult with the ortho this Thursday. Very excited about starting the process!
