Advice: LJS or DJS

Hello everyone,
I have a class II overbite and spoke to a couple of surgeons about getting it corrected. The two i spoke to both recommended lower jaw surgery to minimize risks. However, I have seen lots of people with overbites getting DJS and was wondering what extra cosmetic benefits it could have. I have attached my photos below and was wondering if anyone could give some advice on if I could benefit from the upper jaw surgery. I don't think my maxilla is recessed?
