Lump under jaw after sliding genioplasty

I had sliding genioplasty done and have lump under jaw. Im completely confused as to what it could be. Surgeon says scar tissue but im having a hard time believing that it as it feels like bone. Can anyone tell me whos experienced this wat it might be?

The place where they cut the bone and slide it forward usually leaves a bump in the bone from where the cut was made. See the attached picture, which is a little exaggerated but you get the point. Mine were very easy to feel post-op but over the years they’ve disappeared. They slowly smooth out over time.
