SARPE Surgery Recovery

#1 Post by Surrealismw »

Hello all! My name is Ari, I recently got SARPE surgery done on Wednesday and I’m in the recovery process and boy am I miserable. I can barely breathe out of my nose(still not sure why) and I’ve been bed ridden all day every day. I’ve been taking my medications and my face is still pretty numb, my top lip and cheeks are very swollen and numb as well. How was recovery for you guys? I don’t even feel comfortable opening my mouth to talk because it’s so swollen. When did swelling go down for you guys? My Ortho surgeon said they’ll be expanding to 6 millimeters and right now I’m at 2. I have my first appointment to start turning on Monday and I’m nervous. How long after expanding did you start closing the gap? Does it take a while? Sorry for all the questions I’d love to hear from people in the same boat as me. Really helps the nerves! :)
