Bite fits but still waiting 3 to 5 months for surgery

#1 Post by Ddetterline2 »

So I went to my ortho appointment today, and he took a mold and even waited to see the mold because my ortho wanted to know if it was done yet. So basically the mold does fit but my bottom teeth go inward a little bit, and he estimated a 3-5 month wait to get them to stand up straight instead of inward. At this point I am defeated this already has taken much longer than it was suppose to and now I’m suppose to wait 3-5 more months. I just want the surgery and would much rather fix this minor problem afterwards. Is there anything I can do about this? Can I request the surgery anyway and maybe get a jaw expansion for the few teething going inward? Because I’ve had 3-5 surgical molds and there always seems to be a problem. I’m thinking that maybe 3-5 months later my bite still won’t be ready, and fixing it surgically might be the best option and I would like to express that without being told I am “rushing” them which I have been told before.
