Ortho said only one more tooth to adjust but hold off on tracings

My ortho had taken a mold about 3-4 weeks ago of my progress and today I called to find out about it, because I had surgical tracings scheduled for this month and needed to know if it be possible to have them with some missdjusted teeth. My ortho told me my bite made allot of progress and he only has one more tooth to adjust, but wants me to hold out on the tracings because he doesn’t want my oral surgeon to “rush the process”. Why would I have to wait for tracings with one tooth adjustment, and if my bite is close to ready why does he not want to rush things? I’m just eager to get my tracings because they send them to my insurance as well for surgical approval, and since I’m almost done treatment I REALLY need to know if my surgery was approved or not.
