I am 9 years post up and recently had some issues with facial pain, headaches, sinus congestion/drainage. One of my doctors had me get a CT scan since I have hardware in there. The CT Scan report states “there is bony defects in the inferolateral maxillary sinuses, right greater than left”. I asked my jaw surgeon what this means and what the implications are, if it needs fixing and he said the following "It refers to areas where the surgery bone cuts didn’t completely heal. It has no implications and does not need to be addressed."
My sinus issues and the facial pain is more concentrated on the right so I thought this was interesting, but he seems to not think much of it.... Anyone have something similar or opinion on this?
