Flossing after surgery

#1 Post by SamBracingForIt »

So today, I was flossing with that thin Glide kind of floss and one of those little plastic needle threader things and as I was threading it through my first molars, it got caught in between one of the surgical hooks and my bracket. This happened as I was pulling it through so it definitely tugged on my teeth. I'm 10 weeks and 4 days post op (lefort 1 and genioplasty). I'm debating sending my surgeon yet another hysterical email... My surgery was a revision (my bite healed wonky after my first surgery) so I think I'm just literally paranoid about EVERYTHING. Has anybody else done this or something similar? When did y'all start flossing with real floss?

Hi

I had a Lefort I BSSO Zygoma augmentation (face too flat apparently) and Genioplasty
I'm 10 days post op, I succeeded brushing my teeth with a baby tootbrush days post op 3/4 and as for flossing I can't do the back but the front I use real floss and little brush.

how is your recovery? your swelling?
