X-RAYS Orthographic Surgery

#1 Post by Iwgjss12 »

Hi there,

I have recently seen a maxillofacial and oral surgeon, after taking X-rays he gave me two options, a Genioplasty or BSSO, however not both at the same time as this would lead to a rather large forward protruding chin. Would it be possible for someone here to take a look at my X-ray and perhaps give me some advice on what to pursue? Also on a side note, do I have maxilla recession, and would I need CCW or CW rotation?

Here is my X-ray: https://imgur.com/RiE66wL

Hi, I would go back to your Orthodontist or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Tell them your concerns and ask them to run you through the options again. They should be happy too. If they are not I would find another provider. You have to be totally comfortable and understand what you are embarking any treatment.
