Infection after Lower jaw surgery

Hello, I recently underwent lower jaw surgery after suffering trauma to my jaw.

2 weeks post op and all is well, untill i go into the doctors office and he explains that somehow a small hole were the incisions were made has not closed up properly and it had caught an infection. So he drained the pus etc and prescribed me antibiotics. He told me either its just a regular infection or it has to do with the plates being infected and we would have to wait 3 weeks more to see what its about.

Now im here stressing myself over this, so im asking if there is anyone who has dealt with this previously and could describe how and whats going to happen next.
