New incision pain at 4 weeks post surgery

4 weeks to the day post IVRO. Very little pain thus far. Unwired and wearing 4 rubber bands as of a week ago.

For the past three days I have had significant (3-4/10) pain at the incision site on one side. The tissue is very swollen, and the area where the stitches are is pushed into my braces. To the point there has been some bleeding.

Is this normal?

Doesn't sound normal to me! Clean your teeth, rinse with hot salt water and put some wax on those brackets! Don't be shy. See if it feels better and call your doctor!

I would say you please contact your doctor. There shouldn't be any bleeding from gums at this point.
