I thought the same. But consulted 3 other surgeons and all said have never seen motor nerve damage from osteotomy and that where my nerve is damaged is not where any manipulation was done (high near the cheek bone/ear).

Do you live in the U.S?... it could be that you are still swollen and you need more time to heal. I suggest a consult with maxillofacial surgeon that specializes in nerve damage/repair. I believe there's only a few in the U.S. Dr. Bagheri in Atlanta is one, it's worth a shot to see if anything can be done. Hope this truly isn't permanent for you and you feel better soon!
