Teeth cleaned by dentist after surgery - how soon?
Has anyone been informed about how soon they can have a cleaning done after surgery? Once this splint comes out I think I will really need one!

I was just told whenever I can open wide enough to allow the dentist decent access, which turned out to be about 3-4 months post-op, I think.

I just had a clean 7 weeks post surgey.
Your wounds are still healing and your mouth is probably sore. I didn't have a splint but I read that the patient can think they have really unclean teeth, but you don't, not that bad when the splint comes of.
Have you got the mouthwashes such as those given by the surgeon? I also have Curasept. It's only used for two weeks but good for plaque. Normally get told to use if I have issues the hygienist picked up during a clean.
