Can anyone/someone have a look at my latest blog update please?
http://faysbracesjourney.blogspot.co.uk/
I am 12 weeks post BBSO with mandibular setback.
Last week I saw a red lump developing between my gum and my cheek at the incision site on the left.
This weekend, now I see what looks like bone sticking out and another bone coloured bit has appeared just today at the back.
It is hard and definitely attached to my mouth so not a piece of food that has got stuck (as I originally thought).
I have an appointment with my ortho on Thursday anyway so probably no point in trying to get an appointment a day earlier.
Has anyone had this post surgery?
How is this treated? I'm really worried that I'm going to have to go back into theatre to have this fixed and find myself back to square one again
Any thoughts much appreciated

Call your surgeon and/or ortho. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but just in case it is you need to talk to your surgeon about it as soon as possible.
If it IS your bone sticking out, I bet it won't mean you'll have to start back at square one. In that case, I would imagine they could maybe do a gum graft or something to cover the bone back up.
But, I am not a doctor, and I'm totally not qualified to tell you what is going on. Seriously, call your surgeon as soon as you can. I'm sure you'll feel a lot better about this once you talk to them.

Good news!
It was bone sticking out of my gum.
But luckily my surgeon was at my ortho appointment to see me anyway.
It was a bone fragment from the incision site that had decided it wasn't going to be part of my new face and was making it's way out.
A few twiddles with the tweezers and he got it out!
HUGE relief
