changing orthos

I have a really serious question, that i want to discuss with my ortho when i see him again in june. but i need other opinions as well.

i might be moving aboard, how would that would if i had to change orthos, would my treatments and such just been sent to the new one, or will i have to have the new ortho start at the beginning with treatment. will it delay my treatment? would it cause any problems? i will only be away for a year, will i be able to come back to my now ortho when the braces need to come off. I am only 3 months into my treatment and have another 15 months to go.
