Can you pull the down the top jaw down with elastics?

So, I had a major yawn with a muscle spasam at the same time so I couldn't suppress the yawn all that well. My mouth opened a bit (nothing big like a finger length or anything) and I heard no cracks or anything, but I felt a pulling on the back part of my top jaw. No pain or anything after the fact, though now it feels like I need a tiny tiny bit more effort to breathe through my nose. It isn't stuffed, it just feels a bit more congested in the backish part of my throat where the top palette ends.

Any opinions? I have an appt. with my OS on Wednesday so I'll ask him then but just wanted to see if I can get my mind at rest before then.

For the record, I'm just over three weeks post-op!
