Teeth rubbing against another tightly normal after DJS?

Hi everyone! I made it out of Double Jaw Surgery. I just have a question in regard to the bite. I'm 12 days post-op and just got a little less resistant elastics put on, and now I can move my jaw ever so little. I notice though that when I do that the teeth noticeably rub together, and seemingly very tightly with friction. Is this normal? For clarification, I'm referring to the top set of teeth overlapping the bottom teeth.
