Has anyone had numbness in their tongue from lower jaw surgery. My surgeon says the nerve was stretched in retraction. He thinks it will recover since I have feeling in the tip front and back. But I have a large portion of the side that is numb and very frustrating. Anyone have a similar experience? Did it come back? Timing?
I certainly and not feeling any tingling like I am having with my chin. Looking for signs my tonugue is healing but not sure what to look for.
