Can I go on roller coaster 2 months post op sarpe?

#1 Post by gettingbraces44 »

SARPE surgery 2 months post op... We're planning on going to a theme park in 1-2 weeks. Will I be able to go on smooth roller coasters? I can pretty much bite into anything now and my jaw feels stabilized. What I mean by smooth coasters are ones that don't have high G force and the ones that don't rattle so much such as most wooden coasters. Maybe I'll decide to ride steel structured coasters that may have no more than one loop or the ones that have humps that go up and down. What are your opinions?

When I asked my surgeon if it was OK to go on roller coasters, he looked at me like I was crazy, and was like "of course!" Granted, this was well more than two months post-op! I have ridden many coasters since, and had no issues. If I were you, I'd check with your surgeon, though, just to be safe!
