unhappy with widening nostrils

#1 Post by Sams »

I think the stitch holding my nostrils together may have dissolved because my nose is getting quite wide. I know this should be a superficial thing but i'm really not happy with it at all. Has anyone experienced this and have they confronted thier surgeon with it? Can anything be done, like having another stitch put in? I know i shouldn't but i feel really dissapointed. I would really appreciate hearing what others have experienced in the nose department. I feel i look quite odd

It's to with tilting the jaw in turn tilts the position of the nose making it appear mor flared as I understand. The important thing to note is that it does not look worse but it is different - if you can recognise that then hopefully it won't worry you. :)

As mentioned, the change in nose is just a different look. I've gotten opinions on my nose and people just say it's 'cute.' As a guy it's not what I'm going for but I've noticed that it is going down over time with the swelling in the upper lip, which tends to puff it up.

The widening has actually made me very happy as it opened up the airways quite well. One of my biggest changes has been moving from a mouth breather to a nose breather. Huge difference.

My nostrils widened also!

It's most noticable when I smile. LOL. The thing I was trying to fix. I had one person suggest to me I may need a more restrictive alar base stitch.

If you're female PM and I can show you how I addressed this with cosmetics. Helps sooooo much!

My nostrils are so much more prominant. Wow. Hopefully I'll get accustomed to it in time. Is there even an operation to make nostrils smaller? I don't think there is.

there is, but I've heard someone say you should wait at least a year before considering anything of that sort.
