Impacted Canine

Hey everyone,
I just got braces five days ago, and my number 6(right top canine) is impacted. So i have to get oral surgery to expose and bond it. I was just wanting to hear anybody else's experiences. I was also wanting to kind of get some sort of time frame how long its going to take to get my tooth down and me out of braces. I know everyones treatment time varies but I was just curious.
