Has anyone had both midlines off to one side after surgery? Can this be fixed with elastics?

I am scheduled to get my braces off in less than two weeks, so I am not sure if this is something I should be worried about or just let it go.

do NOT let it go! you are paying for the ODs services! My midlines were off and i made sure they were on before my braces came off...you went through too much now to start compromising!

Can it be fixed if they are both off to the right?

mine were off a bit but when I got my braces off it got worse. Might as well fix it now.

I did see my ortho about it today. He said since my surgery I have a perfect bite and my upper and lower midlines line up. He doesn't want to mess with it. I think I am okay with it; it is only 1-2 mms. If it gets worse after the braces come off, I will most likely get them back on for a short period to get it fixed.

i had the exact same problem (among other things..). both my midlines were aligned, BUT they were both shifted to the right by a noticeable amount. i told my orthodontist about it, and he said the only way to fix it was to remove a tooth on the top and bottom on the left side, in order to make room to shift the teeth over. i had the extractions done, and my teeth have shifted over a good amount, but they still aren't centered. it does look better than before though.
