Exactly one year post op!!!

#1 Post by HokieTay »

Hi everyone,

I am exactly one year post op today! I had a relatively normal case and easy recovery. I had some jaw clicking/popping the first few months afterward and I grinded my teeth some. I have to say my jaw has been a little sore or tense the past couple weeks, but I am hoping it will pass. Anyway, so happy I did this surgery, would do it again. My only regret is that I didn't do it when it was first recommended to me at 15.

Anyhow, I could never figure out how to post pictures into the actual post so I am including a link to my photos. There are A LOT, LOL. I wanted to track my changes over a year. So for the sake of time if you look at the first 18 those are pre op and then the last 20 or so are within the past couple months. The last couple were taken today!

Wow, you look sooo amazing! Thanks so much for posting these...it's always good to see how people look beyond just the first 3 months post-surgery. I wish more than anything I could flash forward to 1 year post-op, take a photo, and then I'd be fine to come back to where I am right now...just so I could see what I will look like! :) But it's the waiting game for now.

Again, amazing results, and so great to hear you're happy and doing well.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to mention that I still have a tiny bit of numbness on the right side of my bottom lip and just below it. It really doesn't bother me though.

Don't worry... a year really does fly by! The exhausting process and surgery will all be a thing of the past before you know it!!
