Just wanted to bump this thread because....

Yesterday... I was debraced!

It's unbelievable! The change to my teeth now that I can see everything properly is AMAZING.

I am beyond happy with everything. It's kind of surreal when I remember what my teeth were like just 3 years ago before my expander.

I wonder if any of the July peeps still come here? How are you all doing?

I have NO idea when I'll get my braces off.. I moved abroad and don't see my dentist as often as he would like. I only need a few more things done though

I thought about bumping this thread a few weeks ago. Been wondering how all my July buddies are doing.

Congrats on being debraced, isolde! I'm also still in braces, VikingGirl. My ortho keeps saying "soon" which he's been saying for about two months now! I'm really in no hurry. I want things to be perfect before they come off. I still have a few other things to have done after I'm debraced so it will still be a while before I can stop thinking about my teeth! Things are finally starting to feel more normal, though, and surgery is finally starting to become more of a distant memory.

How is everyone else doing?

I'm still with braces, hopefully in a month or two it will come off. But to tell the truth I don't care that much, now that I'm almost 6 months post op and feeling good

I finally got my braces removed today, now just have to wear a retainer at night and 4 hours a day. Feels so great to not have braces on anymore.

Hello July 2010 Buddies!

I got my braces off in December. I just posted on the forum to report on my 1 year post-surgery consultation. All is going well, except I still have some slight swelling which will still take time to go away apparently.

Does anyone else still have swelling?
