GETTING MY BRACES OFF OCT 2!

I had an ortho appointment today and he said my braces are ready to come off in about 3 weeks! I setup an appointment for Oct 2 in the morning. Just in time for my 25th birthday. Woo, my ortho quoted the whole process @ 9-10 months and it's going to be just about 10 months. I can't believe it!

Wow congrats! I'm about 6 weeks post-op right now of surgery and I'm SO looking forward to when I'm healed and ready to get my braces off

Congratulations HokieTay!! It is always very nice to hear when people are "on schedule"!

Please post some pics of your "naked teeth" when you get debanded...I hope you enjoy it...

Thanks everyone! Yes, I will post some pics of my "naked" teeth once they're whitened some! Haha.

Changes09- Yes, I will be getting a permanent one on the bottom. I think it just sits on the inside of the teeth. On top I will have a removable clear one that I wear at night.

I had an appointment today and last time I went I was told that I would be getting them off on Oct. 5th!! But then when I went today he told me that I have an open bite but he's not sure why....
Anyway... he is still hoping that I will get them off on the 5th so at this time he has me wearing 5 elastics! It hurts like hell!
I have had these contraptions on for 42 months! 3 and 1/2 years!
I am a Junior in highschool and I just want them off!

That's great news. I hope to follow your lead (hopeful by Christmas) but I have ONE space that just refuses to close up.

Hockie tay this is excellent news, you must be so excited!!!!!

I was at my ortho this past week for an apt and received my somewhat official debanding date!!! I say somewhat official because they are going on the basis that everything continues to go as it is going now. My date is Jan 18th!!!! Next surgery for my gum reshaping is going to be early December and the implant surgery part 1 has yet to be scheduled. Will keep you all posted!!!!

The end of the braces journey is drawing closer day by day!!!!

Yayyyyyy! I got them off and they look great! I am sooo happy to be brace free. It was a pretty quick process for me, but a long journey from the very first time I had braces. I will post a pic when I get a chance.

Congratulations!! I am still waiting--one more ortho visit on Nov. 11th, and then my OD claims I'll get the braces off at the next visit after that. I hope he's serious! I got my braces in Oct. 07. I can't imagine how wonderful it will be to eat like a normal person again.

I had my braces on May of 07. Im sure I sill have 6 months more. But that day will get here, I hope by next summer too.

Congrats!!! What a great feeling that must be. I'm so happy for you and soooo envious at the same time.
I still have mine (since Aug 2006) and they will be coming off in January....can't wait!
