Well I was told all was good two years ago and then about two months ago it was not. It was denied on the submission and so I had them re-submit which the office girls were not going to do!!! But my ortho had words with my surgeon and it got resubmitted and it took about a month in the appeals dept and it got approved. I called a few times to "check in" Not sure if that helped or not but my ortho and surgeon told me to do so, so I just call the ins call center and asked about the progress and they told me it was still being looked into. I am sure they just noted my calling in but it may have helped. I really do hope I can get it done by the end of the year. I would hate for there to be some BS about "Oh it was approved for 2007 but not 2008" even though they just approved it in December!!!
I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy some folks have had it with the pain after reading the stories. I am just a big wuss and I faint when I get my blood drawn! I also hate pain meds. Don't get me wrong I will totally take them when needed but I hate feeling high. I just got done feeling high for almost two weeks after getting my tubes tied and that was painful!!!

What worries me is this is a way more complex surgery and it is not even going to be done in a hospital! That kind of scares me a bit.

But my surgeon is the best one in the whole area, not just the city and so I guess I should not worry.
