That is so interesting that you went home right after. My surgeon said that is an option for me, but said I will be paying to stay the night regardless... so, since it won't impact cost, I am planning to do that.
I am intrigued by how some people stay 2-3 nights, and others are outpatient, like you!

Incredible eh! Surgeon said it's policy here in Australia (Queensland anyway) that any surgery like this you stay in intensive care unit for 24 hours and then go to a ward for a few days. They can't send you home til you're eating and drinking comfortably etc and also, swelling is at it's worst on day 3 so they need to make sure you don't swell so much that you can't breathe or something..
