Recovery time for Upper & Lower Jaw Surgery

Hi everyone,

I'll be having surgery on both my jaws (and a possible genioplasty) on the 21st of January. How long is the average recovery time for this type of surgery? Would 4 weeks be adequate? I return back to uni exactly a month from my surgery so I'm hoping I will be able to recover in time for that.

Yeah, 4 weeks should be enough. You'll still probably tire easily, and you won't be able to eat normally, but you should be able to function at something like 70% of normal capacity.
